Self proclaimed, Prophet Sherperd Bushiri says he has returned to Malawi fearing death in the rainbow nation.
Speaking on Zodiak Television on Saturday evening Bushiri said he is receiving numerous death threats from some South African police officers whom he did not call by their names.
Bushiri says he sneaked out of South Africa to his home country (Malawi) on wednesday to seek government intervention on his continued persecution in South Africa.
“I think i cannot stand fair trial in a country where some officials (police officers) who were reported for defrauding my church members are the same people handling my case,” Bushiri challenged.
Bushiri further said the South African government have been framing a number of court cases against him and yet they failed to bring (tangible) evidence.
The prophet says he will be meeting government officials on Monday or tuesday to intervene into the matter which he says lacks legal basis in South Africa.
Bushiri, his wife Mary and several others who are on court bail are answering fraud and money laundering charges across the Zambezi.
Meanwhile, South African government has already made it clear that fugitive, Sherperd Bushiri is extradited back to South Africa to stand trial.
