His Excellency the State President of the Republic of Malawi Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera today on 6th October 2020 has left for Mozambique through Kamuzu International Airport in Malawi’s Capital City Lilongwe for a One day Visit. He was accompanied to the airport by State Vice President Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima , Cabinet Ministers and Government Officials.

Chakwera’s visit can be a gateway for Malawians to have an opportunity to do business in Mozambique. Surely , this visit will help to bridge the relationship between the two countries.
Malawi and Mozambique shares the common languages like Sena , Chewa , Lhomwe , Yao and you can find tribes like Senas , Yaos , Ngonis , Lhomwes and Chewas in these two countries.

Some tribes in Malawi came from Mozambique. Mozambique’s Cabora Bassa Hydro Power Station can be of great importance to our country.
There is a great need for our country to normalise relationship with Mozambique , Tanzania and other countries. President Chakwera has recently visited Zambia and Zimbabwe . His visit to Mozambique is his third foreign visit as Presidential of Malawi .
The relationship between Malawi and Mozambique is the oldest of all relationships Malawi has with other countries. Therefore , there is a need to Strengthen it.
