Ruling Democratic Progressive (DPP) Party Secretary General Grezelda Jeffrey took time to dress down those saying that the state president, Peter Mutharika is in poor health condition.
According to a voice clip making rounds on social media, the DPP Secretary General is heard being too emotional when responding to a question which a reporter posed her to comment on the health of the head of state.

The DPP iron lady lost her usual composure and attacked both, the media and opposition party leaders by calling them all sorts of names in response to what seem to be a simple question asking for clarification from her being the party’s chief executive officer.
She reminded all those saying that Mutharika is lying in grave state to be counting on dirty waters because Mutharika will not die while in office as head of state. “One thing you journalists and those opposition leaders should know is that everyone shall test death at some point, but pushing the president, polofesa Arthur Peter Mutharika Kuti amwalire kuti mutole mpando apo mwalemba mmadzi,
“And omwe amwalire ndi amanu, ambuyanu, amalume anu polofesa sangafe, yemwe uja Bingu ndi amene anamwalira, mzimu wake uwutse mu mtendere, mwawuponda,” Jeffrey said.
Earlier in the day the state house communicated that Mutharika will be meeting the leadership of the Public Affairs Committee (PAC) on Wednesday but only to change saying that it will be Minister of Disaster and Relief Management, Everton Chimlirenji meeting the clergy.
Since the news started circulating about the ill health of President Peter Mutharika, he has not made any appearance to the public.
According to a death report produced by a special commission instituted to enquire about the death of Bingu wa Mutharika in 2012 states that efforts to resuscitate him ended up in doctors breaking his ribs.
