A wire fence which was constructed on the boarders of South and Zimbabwe has been destroyed by liquor thirsty South African imbibers who have been sneaking to the neighbouring country looking for alcoholic beverages.
The South African government constructed the thirty seven (37)million Rand fence with the aim on controlling unnecessary migration of people in response to the prevention of further transmission of coronavirus which causes the deadly Covid19.
According to a report aired on South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), it is the citizens from the rainbow nation who are breaking the lockdown order in search for beer in Zimbabwe.
“Imbibers can’t help it but rather sneak into neighbouring Zimbabwe in search for beer but this is posing a great danger to many lives of people of the two nations considering the dangers of coronavirus which causes Covid19,” he said.
South African government extended the lockdown it imposed on its citizens following continued rising cases of people contracting the deadly virus.
Globally, a total of 2 319 066 have been confirmed as cases of Coronavirus with 157 970 confirmed deaths from 213 countries, areas or territories with covid-19 cases.
