The Malawi National Council of Sports has hinted that it will take a little longer before sporting activities resume in the country as it monitors the Covid-19 situation while also waiting for recommendations from the health experts.
Council’s Executive Secretary, Henry Mereka said this in Mzuzu no Tuesday when his office donated medical supplies to sports sector, throgh it’s northern region offices in it’s contribution towards fight against the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
Mereka said it is disappointing to receive reports of a rise in number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the country which is threatening the sports development programs.
