The country’s leading estate agent, Innobuild Private Company Limited in conjunction with sports writers in the northern region on Friday afternoon embarked on a Covid-19 sensitization campaign dubbed ‘Walk of a Journalist’ at the Mzuzu main market.
The awareness campaign mainly centered on the traders dealing in second hand clothes business popularly known as ‘Kaunjika’ who are said to be vulnerable to contract Covid-19 since they receive a very huge number of customers every day.

Speaking during the handover ceremony of some Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) which includes tablets of soap, face masks, sanitizers and handwash Buckets, Innobuid’s branch manager for the Northern Region, Gift Nyasulu said Innobuild values the existence of its partners in development such as journalists hence partnering them in the fight against Covid-19.
“As a business entity we value a lot our good working relationship with our stakeholders such as the media fraternity hence involving them in dissemination of very important messages in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic here at Mzuzu market,” Nyasulu said.
In his remarks the Chairperson of the sports media practitioners trading under the banner, Media Taskforce on Covid-19 – Northern Region Chapter, Draxon Maloya while appreciating the assistance the journalists got from Innobuid Private Company Limited, also stressed on the wrong misconceptions from some quarters of society saying that Covid-19 is over just because of the warm weather which is now being experienced in many parts of the country.
“We are very thankful to Innobuild for coming out and assist in this initiative which was aimed at clearing out some misconceptions out there claiming that the warm weather being experienced in many parts of the country at the moment marks the end of the novel coronavirus pandemic, so we had to discourage such type of reasoning as manifested here today at Kaunjika Market,” Maloya said.
Maloya further advised the masses not to relent in fighting the pandemic until the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization did with the success story in the global fight against Leprosy.
Innobuild is a Malawian estate agent assisting its customers to secure land at affordable costs considering the scarcity and other related problems that arise in the procurement of land.
