The Council for Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) has appointed four Malawian Football administrators to its new Sub-comitees.
FAM first Vice President and Chairperson of the Association’s Competitions and and Marketing committee Jabbar Alide has been appointed to the COSAFA Competitions Committee.

Super League of Malawi President, who is also FAM’ s Executive Member Tiya Somba is a Finance committee member while SULOM Executive Member Charles Manyungwa is in the Technical Development Sub-comitee.
FAM’s Legal Advisor Wanangwa Kalua is in the COSAFA Appeals Committee.
Reacting to the news, FAM General Secretary Alfred Gunda said this is exciting as Malawi football administrators continue to get international recognition
“The appointment of the four into COSAFA’s Sub Committees is an indication of the confidence that the regional body has on us and we hope that they will use the experience and knowledge they will get in developing the game in Malawi,” said Gunda.
Several soccer pundits have described the appointments as a step forward towards the country’s football development.
